Warnings:
We know how important optimal doses of choline and folate are, but that doesn’t mean we’ve compromised on other key ingredients.
The Prenatal features high-dose activated B vitamins, the powerhouse duo of iodine and selenium, and Aquamin F, a natural mineral source derived from red marine algae, sustainably harvested from the pristine waters of the North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Iceland. This natural mineral provides a rich source of bioavailable calcium, magnesium, and 72 other trace minerals.
The prenatal is formulated to support you through every season of motherhood.

We’ve redefined the prenatal standard because 1-2 capsules only have so much room
There’s a reason other brands choose folic acid and its not because of its bioavailability.
We choose Quatrefolic (methylated folate) to ensure our prenatal contains the most optimal and bioavailable form.
We've got you covered!
Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate that must first be converted into its active form, methylated folate (5-MTHF), for the body to use.
60-70% of the population has an MTHFR genetic variation, which limits their ability to convert folic acid effectively. Without activated forms of B vitamins, the body cannot perform critical functions, which is especially important during pregnancy. Even for those without an MTHFR mutation, methylated folate is better absorbed and utilised than folic acid.
Cost per kg of the ingredients:
5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) is the biologically active form of folate and the form found in circulation. It does not require enzymatic conversion and can be utilised directly by the body (cited from TGA).
There’s a reasons brands choose folic acid and its not because of its bioavailability.
Our prenatal provides 550mg of choline, meeting the entire recommended daily intake (RDI) for both pregnancy and breastfeeding. During pregnancy, choline requirements are around 440-450mg per day. This increases to 550mg per day when breastfeeding.
We left iron out of our formulation on purpose. Here are 3 reasons why:
In QLD, Australia. We manufacture in a TGA certified facility. The Prenatal is TGA listed: 462027
Because we found that 1-2 capsules didn't contain enough room to optimise dosages. Folate and choline receive much attention during preconception right through to postpartum, and rightfully so, which is why The Prenatal contains 500mcg of methyl-folate and 550mg of choline. However, we wanted to ensure we didn’t overlook other essential vitamins and minerals needed to support every stage of motherhood. Using 3 capsules provided us with essentially more 'space' to include everything you and your baby needs in 3 easy-to-swallow capsules.
Ideally, 3-6 months prior to conception. Otherwise we recommend starting The Prenatal as soon as you find out you're pregnant. You should continue taking The Prenatal throughout pregnancy, as well as postpartum, especially if you're breastfeeding. If you are not breastfeeding we recommend continuing it for 8 weeks postpartum, or as recommended by your health professional.
Ideally, take two capsules together after breakfast (at least 30-60 minutes away from caffeine) and one at lunchtime.
Alternatively, you can take all doses together, whichever suits your lifestyle best.
We recommend avoiding taking the prenatal at night, as it contains B vitamins and vitamin D which increase energy levels, making it harder to wind down for the evening.
Yes, we chose Quatrelfolic® for this reason (and many others). Research suggests Quatrefolic® is the most bioavailable form of L-methylfolate on the market for supporting methylation processes (especially supporting a MTHFR gene polymorphism).
Quatrefolic® is a superior form of L-methylfolate that uses glucosamine instead of calcium to bind the L-methylfolate. The glucosamine salt may be superior and more bioavailable than the calcium salt.
You can empty your capsules into a smoothie, coconut water or hydralyte drink. You can also freeze them into icy-poles or juice.
No, there is no taste when swallowing the capsules.
Yes, many prenatals tend to have a noticeable "smell," which is common with B vitamins and supplements containing higher doses of choline. In our formulation, ingredient quality was of the utmost importance, ensuring you receive the best possible nutrients for you and your baby.
Most likely yes! This is completely harmless and is due to high dose B vitamins. The most common culprit is vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin.
Our products are designed to complement each other, and many individuals take them together. However, we recommend consulting your health professional to ensure they are suitable for your specific needs.
