NATURAL, ALLERGEN-FREE, BABY WASH & OIL DIDN'T EXIST

So we created them...

Maternally Happy Baby Oil & Wash was mindfully developed by our founder Caitlin, a Registered Midwife, Nurse & Nutrition Consultant.

Caitlin often received enquiries from parents about which baby wash or oil she would recommend, but she could never find any that were free from chemicals, skin irritants, allergens and food products.

Recognising the need for a superior, trusted and safe option for parents and their little ones, Caitlin spent 2 years in research and development.

The Result?

Natural, nut-free, and common food allergen free baby skincare, crafted with premium ingredients to meet the highest standards of care.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba is non-toxic and non-allergenic, making it suitable for newborns up. Extracted from a seed, rather than a nut, jojoba oil closely resembles the skin's natural sebum, providing hydration without compromising the skin barrier. Its non-greasy and lightweight nature allows it to absorb quickly, reducing inflammation and repairing dry, damaged skin.

CALENDULA

Derived from marigold flowers, calendula is renowned for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps protect the skin barrier, promotes wound healing, and reduces inflammation and irritation, all while nourishing the skin. Calendula is particularly effective at alleviating eczema symptoms externally, supporting skin repair as you work on addressing the internal root cause.

Chamomile

Chamomile is a soothing herb that reduces inflammation and redness while providing a calming effect. It effectively alleviates irritated skin, redness, itching, and common skin conditions in infants. Its rich concentration of flavonoids provides chamomile with powerful anti-inflammatory properties, making it ideal for the sensitive skin of babies.

Marshmallow Root Extract

Marshmallow root, a herb safely used for centuries, is renowned for healing red, damaged skin and relieving skin irritation and inflammation. Research suggests that its topical application may help manage eczema. With its anti-inflammatory properties, marshmallow root extract soothes and softens the skin, making it an excellent choice for sensitive skin.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea extract has soothing properties that help calm redness and ease irritation. It is rich in powerful antioxidants and essential skin-nourishing vitamins, including E and B2. The polyphenols in green tea reduce inflammation, helping to soothe sensitive skin and provide relief from conditions such as diaper rash, cradle cap, and other skin irritations.
